Travel to and from the Perimart Marathon Village

The Marathon Village is very remote, with no public transport links.

During registration, it's highly recommended to place a deposit to secure your travel to and from the Perimart Marathon Village to Nairobi. With over a decade of experience, we've been ensuring reliable and comfortable journeys for our guests and travelers across Eastern Africa. Kenya is a rural and vast country. Our location at the Marathon Village is particularly remote, even by Kenyan standards. The Marathon village is 12 kilometers to the nearest township. Drivers without local knowledge, including Kenyans without local Maasai knowledge, will struggle to find us. Therefore, it's essential to plan ahead for your transport to the Marathon Village. By placing a deposit, you ensure that necessary arrangements can be made to facilitate your travel despite the remote setting. Guarantee your place by paying the deposit now and at your convenience re-enter your details to pay the difference by 19th August 2024.

Return Ticket With Access to a Shared Vehicle During Your Stay: As you register you will be able to book a return ticket on our Marathon Shuttle Service. This service includes travel from Nairobi to the Marathon Village and back with access to a shared vehicle during your stay. This helps you experience all the community sites and culture of the Purko Clan of the Maasai Tribe. It also allows you to take part in our volunteering programmes and make the most of your stay in the Maasai Mara.

Return Ticket Only: The Marathon Shuttle Service also offers a budgetted 'Return Only' ticket, allowing you to get to and from the Marathon Village directly. This does not include access to any shared vehicles during your stay.

Making your own travel arrangements for in-country travel can be fraught with a lot of risk and uncertainty. By securing your travel arrangements with us, you not only enhance your safety but also strengthen our ability to assist you in case of any unforeseen in-coutnry travel arrangement failures. This streamlined process means your only responsibility is to fly to Nairobi.

We recommend staying one night in Nairobi before & after your in-country travel for your added convenience.

Hotels in Nairobi usually provide a trusted taxi service for airport drop-off and pick up. Their staff will likely be able to organise a taxi to the Marathon Shuttle Service Pick Up location as well.
