The village hosts both Mend the Gap UK charity and Perimart International Kenyan NGO. These charities work alongside the Purko clan of the Masai minority ethnic group and Mwamosioma clan of the isolated Kisii ethnic community group to eradicate their poverty through ethical and sustainable Ecotourism and Volontourism that directly benefits and empowers the communities.
